Jaime A. Piñero, M.D. is board certified in Family Medicine and brings a wealth of experience in treating a multitude of family and emergency medicine conditions.

Dr. Piñero received his bachelor’s degree from the InterAmerican University of PR in San German, PR (Puerto Rico). He then earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine, in Portsmouth, Dominica WI, and then completed his Residency in Family Medicine from Loyola-

Cook County-Provident Hospital. Immediately thereafter, Dr. Piñero was selected to attend the Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program in Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, where he was able to perfect his excellent and precise emergency care skills.

Prior to 2019, Dr. Piñero worked in several emergency rooms—most of his experience working in hospital-based emergency rooms, many times working at multiple facilities in underserved areas. 

Dr. Piñero is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas, and holds numerous certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS). Currently, he is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Proficient in both English and Spanish, Dr. Piñero has a strong interest in community-based practices and emergency medicine. He has also taught undergraduate biology courses, including genetics, physiology, virology, anatomy, pharmacology, pathology, and immunology. His clinical medicine teachings include Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

In his spare time, Dr. Piñero says he is most content when he’s playing the piano and guitar. He also enjoys writing, reading, exercising, and traveling.
