Roberto J. Flores, M.D. is board certified in Emergency Medicine. He is a lifelong Laredoan who obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Texas A&M International University. Having graduated summa cum laude, Flores then moved to Dallas to pursue a medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center, subsequently completing an Emergency Medicine residency at Southern Illinois University Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

Upon completing his residency, Dr. Flores moved back to Texas and worked as an emergency physician at Valley Regional Hospital in Brownsville. Fulfilling his goal of providing care in his hometown, Dr. Flores moved back to Laredo, accepting a position in the emergency department at a local acute hospital. Two years later, Dr. Flores was tapped to lead the physician team at Clear Choice ER, where he currently serves as Medical Director.

Dr. Flores is licensed with the American Board of Emergency Medicine, and certified with the Advanced Trauma Life Support, the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and the Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Furthermore, he is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.
